5 Ways to Make a Personal Transformation for Success

My business Jennifer Grant International and my passion for over 30 years has been to provide people with a simple path to advancement through personal branding and professional transformations. I have learned that there is no one-size-fits-all approach and that we all experience challenges in different phases of our lives to varying degrees.

Smart people know that we achieve our best life when we take time to look honestly at who we are and where we want to go and then make a change. In other words, we can transform ourselves into someone completely new.

Here are 5 tips that will help you make a transformation that will improve and increase your success.

1. Appreciate Your Success
This first principle is easier said than done. We tend to be quick to criticize and slow to praise especially when it comes to how we feel about ourselves.

Start by appreciating your successes and the successes of others. By staying in touch with your accomplishments, you build true, authentic confidence to move on to make new and great things happen.

2. Learn from Life Lessons
Review your past year to discover what worked and what didn’t work in order to find the lessons you need to learn. You are your own best teacher, the best source of your own wisdom.

Once you capture your failures, drill them down to memorable pieces of advice to remember and employ in the next week, month or year. Limit yourself to the three most important lessons; as there is only so much we can truly learn at one time.

3. Shift Your Limiting Beliefs
Until you address and dispell the negative beliefs you have about your chances for success, you will continue to limit yourself to all that is possible. If you aren’t getting the results you want, you need to change what you are doing.

To achieve a personal transformation, you need to create a new belief system that clearly states the new reality you want to create. Make sure your statement is positive, in the present tense and as powerful and exciting as you can make it. A couple of examples might be: People are lucky to have me working for them! I have what it takes to be ultra successful. I can handle anything that comes my way.

4. Live Your Values
It’s easy to criticize others because of any noticeable gap between their behavior and the values they espouse. But doing so is not the best use of your time.

The only thing that makes real sense is for you to examine your own life in light of what you believe and most importantly what your core values are. When you don’t live by your core values, you suffer. For example, if one of your values is honesty and you find yourself pushing a hidden agenda instead of taking care of the person in front of you, you suffer inside. Learn to shift immediately when you become aware that what you are doing is not aligned with your personal values.

5. Set and Track Your Top 3 Goals
Once you start living closer to your principles, you’ll be more in touch with what matters to you. You will be far more aware of what you can do; you will have guidelines to learn your lessons and a new paradigm to sustain your transformation. You will also be far more aware of your personal values.
